Sarah Thomas, DACM, Dipl. OM., L.Ac., is a highly credentialed Florida and Georgia licensed Acupuncture Physician. Holding the highest board certification from the NCCAOM, she is also certified in injection therapy, facial acupuncture, and rejuvenation. With a rich academic background, including a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego.

 

Sarah’s extensive research includes; Acupuncture's effect on survival rates in middle-aged and older adults receiving conventional care for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), acupuncture in post-surgical ACL recovery, the subjective effect of a mindfulness meditation school program on anxiety and related symptoms in teens, acupuncture and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, mindfulness and invasive ductal carcinoma,  risks of heart disease in women on a Mediterranean diet, Coptis Chinensis for chronic kidney disease, acupuncture and high blood pressure, and a case study on chronic fatigue in a 19 yo with possible Epstein Barr Virus. 

 

Starting as a dental hygienist with a 30-year successful career, she transitioned to acupuncture driven by her personal journey through chronic health issues. Her passion for sports and experience with injuries in her family motivated her to explore alternative healing methods. She is passionate about mental health, wellness, pain syndromes, chronic diseases, oncology, fertility, and cosmetic rejuvenation.

 

As a compassionate practitioner, Sarah finds joy in witnessing her patients thrive through acupuncture and Chinese medicine. With 30 years of medical field experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge, emphasizing head and neck issues. Board-certified by NCCAOM, she holds various certifications, including AcuPoint Injection Therapy, Advanced Techniques in Facial Acupuncture, and Shoni-Hari Pediatric treatment. Her commitment to holistic care is evident in her dedication to patient well-being and improving the quality of life for her patients.

Mark Brinson, DOM

Mark T. Brinson DOM, L.A.C. CNMT

Dr. Brinson has more than 30 years' experience in the field of manual medicine, human performance and TCM family practice.

He started as a functional trainer/strength and conditioning coach, then massage therapist specializing in pain and injury rehabilitation. From there he spent many years in Physical Therapy as Director of Rehabilitation for a large facility in Tampa, Florida, while preparing to attend college for Traditional Chinese Medicine. In January of 2000 he graduated from a 3000 hour and 4 year program as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine where they had 18 amazing double doctors from China as instructors.

 

He opened in May 2011 Saint Acupuncture & Wellness, which is located on Saint Simons Island, Georgia, and specializes in Natural Family Medicine, Pain and Injury Rehabilitation and Human Performance.

MFI Seminars, began in 1995 and launched internationally in 2008. You could find him teaching courses in cities from Charlotte to as far away as Singapore throughout the year. He plans on continuing seminars whenever time allows.

Mark is passionate about his work and his life trying to help as many people as possible through patient care and reproducing amazing results through the hands of thousands of his students.

​He now focuses on dividing his time between treating patients in clinic and brewing Evil Bone Water in the Clearwater warehouse location.

Kristi Keener

Office Manager, Head of Administration

 

Kristi joined the clinic in the beginning of 2016. As the office manager, Kristi is the first face patients see when they enter the clinic, and she ensures all the needs of patients are met.  

Whenever she isn't in the clinic, she enjoys spending her time on the local beaches with her family or writing poetry.
